Camping

The campground operates April through October 31st.

Please note: Reservations are not required, nor accepted.

From November 1st through March 31st, the campground is closed.

The Du Quoin State Fairgrounds has its own campground with over 1,000 campsites, water and electric included. With covered picnic pavilions, a playground and docks for fishing, the campground offers a family friendly experience all ages can enjoy.  Located on the lake you'll have serene views of the Fairgrounds more natural landscapes and abundant wildlife. Throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall the Fairgrounds will feature many events, such as horse shows, motorcycle races, car shows and flea markets just to name a few.  And then, for 11 days at the end of August through Labor Day it is home to the legendary Du Quoin State Fair. A full list of amenities provided in the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds campground include:

- Electrical hookup - three wire grounded - 30 or 50 amps

  • 2 bath houses with toilets and showers
  • 2 Dump stations
  • Unlimited primitive camping
  • 2 Covered picnic pavilions with electric and water

  • Fishing lake access (license required, bank fishing only)
  • Paved roads for biking and walking
