This year’s Veteran’s Day celebration will be held in the Expo Hall on Sunday, August 25 beginning at 9:00 am.

Browse vendor booths for great home improvement and decorating ideas, hand-made items and tasty treats! Join the U of I Master Gardeners for pop-up programming on plant propagation, house plant care, snake ID and more.

The Secretary of State's office will be on-site to renew driver's license and car registrations while the Department of Veterans Affairs booth will answer questions about Veteran's benefits, services, and resources. Illinois State Treasurer, Department of Transportation, Department of Corrections, and Illinois Central Railroad will also have displays.

And new this year… Poppin' Penelope … GIANT One-Woman Balloon Exhibit … Poppin’ Penelope’s exhibit starts from nothing and grows into a larger-than-life balloon wonderland. You will want to return every day to see what sprouted overnight. Her exhibit defies logic, as one incredible woman creates a balloon display larger than what an entire crew could accomplish in the same amount of time.  She will be located inside the Expo Hall beginning Sunday, August 25.
