This year’s Veteran’s Day celebration will be held in the Expo Hall on Sunday, August 30 beginning at 9:00 am.

State and Local Agencies:

Illinois Department of Veteran Affairs will be available for the promotion of state and federal benefits, and other services available for military veterans, family members and surviving family members.

Illinois Department of Corrections will be promoting department initiatives, programs and job recruitment.

Illinois Department of Transportation will have exhibits and free handouts on current construction projects in the area.

Illinois State Treasurer’s Office will be on hand to visit you on State Treasurer Programs and on-site unclaimed property searches.

The Secretary of State's office will be on-site to renew driver's license and car registrations.

Do you need help understanding breast cancer resources and patient care? The Jackson County Health Department will be on hand with information and support to help you or your loved one through this difficult journey.

Exhibits and food:

The Du Quoin Middle School advanced art class will create chalk artwork inside Expo Hall, which will remain on display throughout the Fair. Their colorful pieces will showcase the students’ unique takes on rides, agriculture, and all the fun the Fair has to offer. Fairgoers can enjoy these vibrant chalk creations each day of the event.

Bianco’s hand-scooped ice cream will be available to serve up your favorite flavor.

Visit the Illinois Petroleum Resources Board to try out interactive kiosks and get an up‑close look at model oil field equipment.

Join the U of I Master Gardeners for pop-up programming throughout the Fair. Visit the booth for seed packet giveaways to add to your flower or vegetable garden.

Stop at the Perry County 4‑H Extension booth to see projects or learn how to participate and find out how you can get involved in hands‑on activities, clubs, and events.

Illinois Product Expo will have booths set up three days on Friday, September 4 (5 – 9 pm); Saturday, September 5 (9 am – 8 pm); and Sunday, September 6 (11 am – 5 pm). More than 20 vendors bringing their free food samples, as well as kettle corn, birdhouses, wood & gourd crafts, honey, jelly, salsa, seasonings, coffee, herbal tea and many more. Plus, there will be several wineries on board for wine tasting.

*LINK cards will be accepted this year. All LINK eligible food items can be purchased with LINK (and P-EBT cards).  Just visit the LINK booth near the east side door to run your cards. You will receive a LINK voucher to purchase eligible items at any vendor.

*The 5 for $5 Promotion is coming to the Du Quoin State Fair! Purchase 5 items totaling $20 and receive $5 in Expo Cash to spend on even more Illinois-made favorites.
