The Illinois Department of Agriculture, the Du Quoin State Fair and Randy Houser would like to extend our deepest gratitude to first responders from across Southern Illinois who responded to yesterday’s devastating fire in Du Quoin.
The extraordinary efforts, courage and commitment of police, firefighters, EMTs and emergency personnel to protecting the Du Quoin community are deeply appreciated. We also recognize the extraordinary sacrifice first responders’ families’ make while their loved ones keep others safe.
As a small gesture of our appreciation, we are inviting Southern Illinois first responders and a guest to join us at the Du Quoin State Fair Grandstand on September 7 to see Randy Houser, free of charge.
Starting September 4, come down to the Box Office on the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds and show the ticket clerk your badge or ID to receive your complimentary tickets to take advantage of this, while supplies last. The Box Office opens at 8 am Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
