What's New and Happening

​​​​​The Du Quoin State Fair is constantly improving and making additions to our fair to make it more enjoyable for everyone that comes to visit and this year is no different! Therefore, here are some big events that are new or changing this year.

Ducky Derby Dash… is back again this year and will be benefiting Region K Special Olympics athletes on Sunday, September 3. Each duck adoption purchased helps people with disabilities. Special Olympics transforms the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, allowing them to realize their potential in sports and in life. Their programs enhance physical fitness, motor skills, self-confidence, social skills and encourage family and community support. The fun will start at 1:00 pm on race day so come join us, enjoy some entertainment and ducky family fun. Watch the 10,000 duckies splash into the pond and waddle their way to the finish line at 3:00 pm at the Expo Hall Lake. Don’t forget to adopt your ducky early.

NEW this year is the Disc-Connected K’9s. This group of 16 performing dogs will be providing Frisbee Dog entertainment choreographed to music with hundreds of freestyle moves and tricks.

NEWThe Reflector/Sparkler/Robocars is a strolling free grounds entertainment that will totally amaze their audience. The Reflector and Sparkler have more than 6,000 mirrors attached to their suit turn into a human mirror ball. While the Robocars stand over 15 ft tall after transitioning from a car.

               

NEW – The Nerveless Nock Thrill Show . Aerial stunt artists producing death-defying thrill and circus acts. They have been thrilling audience with Sky-High Swaypoles, Daring Spacewheel, the Skykings Skycycle and Nocks Globe of Fear.
